Dating back to over 130 million years, Royal Belum is even older than the Amazon and Congo forests. It is even recognised as a hotspot for biodiversity in Malaysia as it hosts diverse ecosystems and habitats for many species of flora and fauna, many of which are endemic, rare, fragile or threatened.
