This district is packed with ecotourism attractions, perfect for water-based and outdoor activities. This district features seven different cascades and waterfalls, each one having their own charm and appeal. You can do various activities like trekking, abseiling, white water rafting and camping.
Besides natural wonders, Selama contains two British waterwork marvels built during the colonial era.
One is the unique Sungai atas Sungai or “River over River”, whereby one river flow on top of another.
At the end of the Ijok River, is the Telaga Gergasi or “Gigantic Well” of Selama. Although it looks as if it’s bottomless, the well is 18 metres deep. Built around 1936, the purpose of the well is to act as a water reservoir and produce strong water currents to aid the tin mining process.
