Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah Restaurant

The famous Nasi Vanggey was originally served in one of the small food stall in Yong Suan’s Coffee Shop since 1955 and was called Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah. Eventhough Nasi Vanggey (which is how the original stall was nicknamed) has its own premise now, this little stall still operates and serving hungry customers, old and new.

Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah is famous for its signature gravy that makes it different than other nasi kandar. It is usually served with a juicy fried chicken, salted egg and a special curry paste for a bit of spicy taste. If you plan to try Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah at Yong Suan’s Coffee Shop, make sure you arrive as early as possible because the queue is usually quite long especially during lunch hours.
