Stalactites, Stalagmites & The Diamond Cavern

Are you prepared to do a bit of climbing and crawling?

Slide through several tight tunnels and you’ll be rewarded by matured stalactites and stalagmites that ‘grow’ to meet one another to form cave pillars.

Shine your torchlight through them and see the intricate structures and textures within.

Descend 30 feet down into a small cavern they call the ‘diamond chamber’ where its crystalline walls glitter in the light.

Believe it or not, Gua Kandu has more than 300 chambers and an enthusiastic group of spelunkers with a good guide can discover up to about ten in three hours.

Be mesmerised by these translucent limestones that used to be former Chinese Communist Hideout & WW2 Japanese Army Headquarters.
